The Bereavement Journey
WHO IS IT FOR?
Working through grief and the loss of a loved one takes a long time. The course is for any person who is bereaved, whether recently or dating back several years. Based on Christian principles, the course is suitable for anyone with or without a Christian faith. Attendance is not advisable for those who have been bereaved within the past three months.
WHAT DOES THE BEREAVEMENT JOURNEY COVER?
Topics covered include:
- Attachment, separation and loss
- Death in our culture
- The pain of grief
- Adjusting to change
- The faith perspective
WHEN IS IT?
The next course starts 7:00 p.m. Monday 11th September, and continues on Monday evenings for six weekly sessions, missing out 25th September and 23rd October. The last session is 30th October. Each evening begins with supper, followed by short talks interspersed with opportunities for discussion in small groups. Ideally, each group has between 6 and 8 guests.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The cost of the course is £30 per person which includes supper and materials for the six weeks. Bursaries may be available so please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if cost is an issue.
